Who is a hero?

A hero is someone — who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through feats of ingenuity, courage, or strength.

As for me, the definition is still controversial. On the other hand, I agree with the quote by Christopher Reeve.

Hero is a role model. It is a person, we can rely on, we believe and we trust.

However, I can trust this person, but (for instance) my friend cannot. Hence, each of us has its own subjective opinion, which is absoluely fine. I don’t think that we should argue about this hot topic: Who is a hero? Who is a hero for YOU?

We should take someone’s opinion, have your own opinion and be happy about it.

Being heroic is not easy and Heroes need to find courage to:
-be a lone voice,
-to initiate change,
-provide care, love and support to others,
-to step out of their comfort zone.

In other words , this quotes tells us that a hero is someone who leads by example and lives their life in an authentic way rather than by the expectations and stereotypes imposed by others. A hero lives inside each of us, we just need to find the strength to stand against overwhelming obstacles, accept and overcome the challenge.

Heroes are not screaming about their heroic acts. They don’t show off. Heroes stay in silence until people start appreciating them. They don’t consider themselves as heroes, because they are ready to sacrifice (sometimes even their lives) to save people or help them.

Humility is the mark of a true hero.
